Monthly Check-Up: What Is Bipolar Disorder

My Monthly Check-Up

Hello readers!
Today I have a monthly consultation to see my psychiatrist. He has been "handling" this glitch in my head for almost 4 years. I am a person with Bipolar Disorder (person with Bipolar). I was diagnosed as a person with Bipolar after the umpteenth visit. Until now my cover letter still reads Paranoid Schizophrenia.

If you've seen cards on my YouTube video to contribute to things related to Bipolar and suicide prevention, it's not for stylish manner. That's the least I can do to help fellow Bipolars.
I want to encourage you, consult a psychologist or psychiatrist immediately if you feel the symptoms of Bipolar Disorder, or know someone who might be a person with Bipolar.

What Is Bipolar Disorder?

Believe me, the person with Bipolar doesn't act like a polar bear. Bi means two, and polar means pole (such in North-South pole). Bipolar means having two opposite emotions, namely manic and depressive.

It is natural that people are not always happy and not always sad. But a Disorder means not according to the rules/order/normal state. A person with Bipolar's emotion is like a rollercoaster or seismograph graphic.

We can feel anger when it should be happy, and it will suddenly swap without a clear reason. This makes people with Bipolar look strange in the social environment. That is what causes people with Bipolar to tend to shut themselves away from social life to avoid unnecessary conflicts. Because this conflict will only make the person with Bipolar prolonged depression if it occurs during the depressive phase. What if it happens when a person with Bipolar is in the manic phase? Usually, hostility occurs and often physical contact occurs.

What happens after physical contact? A person with Bipolar can act like nothing happened, although often the emotion reappears every time entering the manic phase, or prolonged regret arises which makes a Bipolar trapped in the circle of guilt which leads to depression.
